In September last year, an investigator assigned to the Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit received a tip that a man was selling cocaine throughout the county prompting an investigation that led to the arrest of Andre Houston, 41, on Wednesday, June 5 in the City of Poughkeepsie.

The investigator was able to arrange a deal to purchase cocaine, and Houston was taken into custody and charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance, both felonies.

Following his arraignment in the Town of Southeast Court, Houston was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. No return court date has been announced.
